Okay, so it's not quite holiday fowl, but I couldn't help but smile when I saw this strapping young lad. He's one of Dr. Julius Neubronner's epic carrier pigeons, equipped with a miniature camera. Developed in 1908, the doctor's patented photography equipment allowed the birds to capture images in flight. His flock entertained spectators at several expositions in Europe where the images were immediately developed and sold as souvenir postcards.
